Work for the same client

The Brief

To create a commercial for the new album Sk8er Rock which appeals to the target audience of teenagers and skaters.

The Approach

We began by designing the album cover artwork using skating imagery and gritty design elements. Cutting out a huge selection of background features including buildings, roads and street furniture we were able to build up urban landscapes that befit the world of the skater.

We then took these backgrounds and worked them into an animated concept using rotoscoped footage of skaters and funky 3D animated graffiti, to create a diverse, edgy and appealing commercial which boldly stands out, and represents the style of the music perfectly.
